About Edyt

You don’t need more products. You need better ones. We score formulas — not hype — and publish ranked shortlists for a specific job.

Who we are

Edyt Beauty is a US-based editorial beauty site. We publish ranked guides and a shoppable catalog across skin, hair, body, makeup, and nails. Every product on the site has to earn its place against the same standard: what is in the formula, at what level, and whether that actually matches the claim on the label.

The Edyt Score

The Edyt Score is our 0–5.0 rating for how a product is built. It is an objective technical evaluation of the product’s composition — separate from crowd-sourced user reviews.

How we score products: we read the ingredient list against the job the product claims to do, then weigh concentration levels and formulation standards. If a cleanser claims to hydrate, it should do so without clogging. If a serum claims to brighten, it should carry active levels of vitamin C, exfoliants, or another plausible brightening system — not just a marketing story.

  • Ingredient profile — what is actually in the formula, in what order, and whether that supports the claimed benefit.
  • Concentration & actives — whether key ingredients show up at meaningful levels for the category, not just a cameo at the bottom of the INCI.
  • Formulation standards — barrier-supportive, biocompatible, clinically plausible construction. Texture and wear still matter, because a product that feels terrible will not stay in a routine.

The score is not an Amazon star average, an influencer poll, or a “clean vs. toxic” binary. Ranked guides use it to order a shortlist for a specific job. Product pages show the same score next to the item, with analyst notes on what we like and what to watch.

The Edyt Standard

Beauty is not about volume; it is about discernment. In an industry flooded with 12-step routines and trend-driven hype, we believe the greatest luxury is clarity.

The Edyt was founded on a simple premise: You don’t need more products. You need better ones.

Every product on our site — whether it’s a pharmacy staple or a luxury indie discovery — has passed our rigorous curation process. We ignore the noise to bring you the signal. This is our code.

  1. 01. The Efficacy First Rule

We do not care about “viral.” We care about what works. Our curation process begins with the ingredient list, not the packaging. We prioritize barrier-supportive formulations, clinical efficacy, and biocompatible ingredients. If a product claims to hydrate, it must do so without clogging. If it claims to brighten, it must contain active levels of Vitamin C or exfoliants. We vet the science so you don’t have to.

  2. 02. The High/Low Mix

Great skin is not a price point. We believe a perfect routine often sits at the intersection of a $12 French pharmacy cleanser and a $90 active serum. We are not skincare snobs; we are skincare realists. You will find CeraVe sitting next to niche luxury brands on our shelves because effectiveness is the only metric that matters.

  3. 03. The Aesthetic of Use

Skincare is a ritual, not a chore. While efficacy is paramount, we also value the sensory experience. The texture, the scent, and the weight of the packaging play a vital role in consistency. If a product works but feels terrible to use, it won’t stay in your routine. We select products that you will actually look forward to using every morning.

  4. 04. Transparency in Sourcing

We operate as a hybrid editorial platform.

    • The Edyt Collection: We partner directly with independent brands via our retail collective to ship distinct, hard-to-find goods directly from their studio to your door.
    • The Edyt Selects: For mass-market staples available at major retailers, we act as your editors, guiding you to the best prices and authentic sellers.

We do the research. You get the glow.
